Company history
Founded in 1976 by Gene Earl Auldridge, Auldridge Building Center has been locally owned and operated for 33 years. In today's building material supplier environment, that's no small feat! There are very few privately owned, single-store lumber yards remaining. Though Gene is no longer with us, we strive to carry on his legacy of taking care of customers, big & small, by creating relationships rather than just making sales.
Though ABC is an independent lumber yard, we stay connected to the industry through affiliations such as the Lumbermen's Association of Texas (LAT) on whose Board of Directors our owner and president, Vivian Auldridge, serves. LAT membership affords the small town yard flexibility in serving customers. We're still the size of store that can focus on quality products with customer service the "big box" stores can't supply.
One-on-one service, custom building packages, on-site delivery, and service-after-the-sale, are just a few of the benefits you can enjoy with us. Personal service has been our #1 priority from the very beginning. We stand behind everything we do. And if a builder needs a truckload delivered, we'll take it...if he needs two boards, we'll take that, too! If you have a question about a product, we're here to answer it. We even make house calls! We'll come to look at or measure whatever it is you want to do, and help you along the way with your project.
Under the leadership of manager Jimmy Jones, ABC continues to carry on our long tradition of providing good value and quality with honesty and service. Our entire staff stands ready to serve you.
